WHO ARE WE?

We are the UK and Europes distributor of YAKEESE Dog treats based in Surrey in the UK, striving to provide sustainable Natural dog treats from the Himalayan mountains.

We started in 2022 with 3 Cows, 2 Yaks and a single farmer with a vision of supporting the people in the Village in Nepal and providing funding for the farmers , workers and their families plus education for the children.

Today we are proud to be supporting over 20 families within our remote village factory, With currently 6 dairy farmers and several healthy Yaks using green energy where possible all from the proceeds of Yakeese sales.

We are passionate about providing healthy dog treats that importantly provide excellent value for money and are longer lasting than the usual “few seconds” of pleasure a typical dog treat usually provides.

WHAT ARE YAKEESE?

100% Natural

Our Bars are made from an ancient recipe using a 6 step process and contain Yak and Cow milk, Salt and Lime juice and smoked to seal in the goodness !

Interesting Fact !:
Primarily these were made for human consumption and to preserve the Yaks milk in the cold months by turning it into hard cheese the milk was preserved and made into a snack packed full of Calcium and Protein!, the local community from school kids to people climbing mountains would keep themselves hydrated by taking a small piece of the bar in their mouth which in turn releases saliva and helps with hydration, this is called “Churpi”.

This evolved into larger bars being made as it was discovered that local dogs found these to be a delicious delight and the Yakeese dog treats evolved.

Our Yaks and Cows graze at an altitude of 15,000 ft and above, munching on the freshest herbs and other medicinal plants in the Himalayas.

They are free to roam the mountains and provide an abundance of healthy milk.

WARNINGS AND ADVICE

Never leave your dog unsupervised whilst eating.

DO NOT give any dogs PUFF CUBES without having placed in the microwave for 10 sec intervals until fully puffed, to avoid choking hazards.

Some manufactures of other Himalayan cheese dog chews do not use YAK MILK and this can provide an unpleasant flavour to dogs, Please give YAKEESE a try for the purest ingredients from happy free roaming in high altitude Yaks.
